The History
1946 - Joseph Rolland opened a small workshop in the village of
Pencain.
1949 - Busy with other project Joseph built his first tipping-trailer
with a screw system for tipping.
1951 - Joseph Rolland quipped his trailers with hydraulic tipping
gear.
1958 - With the increasing use of tractors on the land, Joseph built
his first spreader.
1969 - The year of the balanced-beam creation at Rolland.
1972 - The wide-spreading kits were adapted to the spreaders.
1976 - The adoption of standardization to the drop-trailer sides.
1982 - The large factory mechanical upgrade with the first Robot
welder.
1985 - The birth of the 'Turbo' range with capacities of 7.5t to 24t.
1989 - The installation of the fully automatic shot-blasting system
using ball bearings.
1990 - The Conic manure spreader is started.
1996 - Launch of the hydraulic lowering livestock trailer & the
twin vertical beater manure spreader.
1999 - Rolland head-hunt the renowned salesman, Alan Clothier.
2001 - The new-look trailer, Turbovac provides larger volume of up to
46m2
2005 - Rolland move from Pencran to their new, state of the art,
factory at Treflevanez.

The Process
The Rolland manufacturing
finishing processes exceed normal expectations.
Each vehicle is
shot-blasted, de-greased then phosphate treated, electroplated and oven cured
and finally, powder coated and oven cured again. - (See
